Synopsis

Considered as the guitar hero in his home town of Sheffield, Englang, Richard Hawley is a all round musician who has distinguished himself for his crooner voice and songs that at times echo Johnny Cash, at other times Sinatra – a mix of jazz, rock pop and folk. A member of the Britpop band the Longpips, Hawley also collaborated with notable rock artists including Robbie Williams, Nellee Hooper and All Saints. Since 2001, Hawley has released eight studio albums and has been nominated for a Mercury prize twice and once for a Brit Award.
